The Official Truth Squad (OTS) was a project begun in the 109th Congress. Its inception grew out the realization that Democrats were not correctly or fairly characterizing the debate on the floor of the House of Representatives. While it began as a freshman class project, OTS has grown to include many different members who bring a multitude of unique backgrounds and expertise to the debate.

While in the majority, it was vitally important for Republicans to shed light upon the disinformation our colleagues across the aisle were circulating. Now in the minority, it is incumbent upon us to be ever vigilant of the information being disseminated to the American people and hold the majority party accountable.

In the past, the Official Truth Squad has dealt with issues ranging from Medicare reform to the War on Terror, from our nation’s founding principles to the economy and fiscal responsibility. We tentatively plan to meet during the Republican Leadership Hour each Tuesday after legislative business is finished.
