Washington, DC – Rep. Tom Price (GA-06-R) issued the following statement today after learning Democrats still have not provided Republicans with committee ratios for the 110th Congress.

The Promise:

The Reality:

The Democrats have once again broken their promise about having an open and fair process. Soon to be Speaker Pelosi has fallen short by saying one thing and doing another. Democrats have chosen their committee chairmen and have populated the committees with their veteran and freshmen elect-members. Yet the Democrats have not chosen to share with Republicans the number of seats they will have on committees so that Republicans may do the same. “Not even in charge of Congress and Democrats are playing tired, old partisan political games in an effort to gain an unfair advantage. Countless times over the past year Democrats stated they would conduct themselves in a fair and nonpartisan manner. Their deeds belie their words,” said Price.
