Price Names Carmichael as Press Secretary for Personal, Leadership Offices

Washington, D.C.– House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) announced today that he has named Ellen Carmichael as press secretary for both his personal and leadership offices.

“Our office is pleased to welcome Ellen Carmichael to our communications shop. Ellen brings a wealth of experience, as well as the kind of creativity and enthusiasm essential to advancing the work we do at the House Republican Policy Committee,” Chairman Price said.  “As we expand our communications operation, Ellen will be an important liaison for the media on behalf of our office and a tireless advocate for our policy efforts.”

Carmichael most recently served as the communications director for Congressman Raul Labrador (R-ID). Previously, Carmichael spent more than a year as the communications director and official spokesperson for former presidential candidate Herman Cain and his Atlanta-based campaign. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Mass Communication: Political Communication.
