Washington, D.C.– House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) honored the fallen members of America’s Armed Forces today, saying:
“As we gather with family and friends to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend, we call to mind the sacrifices of the millions of Americans who paid the ultimate price so that we may be free. From the beaches of Normandy to the mountains of Afghanistan, our brave men and women who died serving in our Armed Forces are America’s real heroes,” said Chairman Price. “The sacrifices of the fallen are still borne by the families who must continue without them. Their absence can be felt each day – from quieter holiday celebrations to the empty chair at the kitchen table. We owe these families a great debt that we can never fully repay. As we enjoy the festivities and fellowship of Memorial Day, may we be ever mindful of the true meaning of this important holiday: to show our deepest respect and utmost gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may live without fear in the greatest nation on Earth.”
