Price Statement on NLRB Decision Regarding Boeing Complaint

Washington, D.C.– House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement after the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) announced its decision to drop its case against Boeing.  The NLRB had been attempting to prohibit Boeing from expanding its operations and creating jobs in the right-to-work state of South Carolina.

“The National Labor Relations Board’s treatment of Boeing and the workers down in South Carolina was entirely emblematic of the Obama Administration’s politically-motivated policy of picking winners and losers in the economy,” said Chairman Price.  “While it is welcome news that the complaint has been withdrawn, there is still much to be done to protect American employees and employers from the NLRB’s anti-jobs agenda.  The House of Representatives has passed legislation that does just that through the Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act.  The Democrat Leadership over in the Do-Nothing Senate should take that bill up and pass it now along with the other pieces of legislation the House has passed to encourage job creation.  Washington ought not be targeting job creators.  It ought to be encouraging a strong free enterprise system that has always been a key to economic growth and prosperity in America.”
